发展概况
新泽西理工学院位于新泽西州最大的城市Newark，始建于1881年的美国工业革新的全盛时期，经120多年的办学积累，拥有电子、机电、计算机、管理、建筑、生化、材料、化工等多个门类的强势学科。学校经历了卓有成效的发展变化，从单纯的本科生教育培养，到全国著名的科学技术研究大学，综合排名位于美国理工类大学前10名。作为一所主要的公立技术大学，NJIT是将技术传播应用于社会的重要渠道。
学校由Newark工程学院、新泽西建筑学院、科学和艺术学院、管理学院、计算机科学学院及AlbertDorman荣誉学院6大学院组成，提供92个学位项目，包括33个学士、40个硕士及19个博士学位项目。
NJIT近10年来发展很快，增长了约90%。目前学生人数8800人，其中研究生约3000人，，国际学生有近千人，其中有约200名中国大陆学生。学校有教职员工400多名，98%的教员是博士学位或本领域最高学位的获得者。
